Data & Deletion
Real Minder is private by design. Most data lives only on your device.
Do I need a “delete my data” request?
In most cases, no. Real Minder does not require an account and stores your activities and history locally on your device. When you uninstall the app, that local data is removed by android/iOS.
Summary: Uninstalling Real Minder deletes your in-app data from your device. No cloud account = nothing to wipe on our side for normal app usage.
What's stored where?
- On your device (local): Activities, schedules, snoozes, and history. Removed when you uninstall.
- Notifications permission (iOS): Setting controlled by the system. You can change it in Settings → Notifications.
- Notifications permission (android): Setting controlled by the system. Change it in Settings → Apps → Real Minder → Notifications (enable; ensure the “Reminders” channel isn't silenced).
- Support messages (optional): If you emailed or submitted a ticket, that message lives in our support inbox. Uninstalling the app does not delete emails you sent us.
- Diagnostics/telemetry (optional): If you opted in, we may receive anonymous crash/performance data (no personal content). You can opt out in Settings → Privacy.
Before you uninstall (optional)
- To wipe app content manually: Settings → Data → Clear Activities or Clear History.
- Then uninstall the app as usual (press-and-hold the icon → Remove App).
Edge cases to know about
iCloud or device backups
If your device is backed up, backups may contain a snapshot of app data from the time of backup. Restoring that backup could restore app data. To remove old snapshots, manage backups in iOS Settings → Your Name → iCloud → iCloud Backup.
If your Android device uses Backup by Google One, backups may include a snapshot of app data from the time of backup. Restoring that backup could restore app data. To remove old snapshots: open Settings → Google → Backup (or Settings → System → Backup), view your Backups, select the device backup, and delete the app's data or turn off App data backup. You can also manage/delete backups in the Google One app or at one.google.com.
Support emails or tickets
Any emails you sent to us remain in our support mailboxes. If you want those removed, just ask (see below).
Diagnostics/telemetry
Diagnostics are aggregate and anonymous. You can opt out in Settings → Privacy. If you'd like existing logs associated with your device/session IDs removed, contact us and we'll purge what's feasible.
